Media Production
The brief is the product

Weak creative is almost never a production failure. It is a briefing failure that became expensive at the edit stage.
By the time a film is in the edit, the quality of the thinking behind it is already fixed. Everything after the brief is execution, and execution cannot rescue an idea that was never decided.
Four lines that do the work
Who is this for, what do they currently believe, what should they believe afterwards, and what is the single proof that earns the shift. A brief that answers those four honestly is short, uncomfortable to write, and worth more than any amount of production value.
Decide the constraints before the shoot
Format, duration, palette, permissible claims and the approval chain belong in the brief. Agreed afterwards, they become renegotiation. Agreed beforehand, they become speed.
