Media Production
Creative direction is a governance function

When production runs without a directional standard, output multiplies and meaning dilutes. Direction is the control layer over every asset produced.
Production capacity has never been cheaper, which is precisely why most organizations now publish more and mean less. Volume without direction is a dilution engine.
The standard precedes the shoot
Directional standards — framing, palette, pace, permissible claims — belong in a written document approved before a single asset is commissioned. Applied afterwards, they become opinion. Applied beforehand, they become governance.
One approver, many producers
Scale requires distributed production and centralized direction. The moment approval authority fragments, the visual system fragments with it, and the recovery cost exceeds the cost of the original standard several times over.
